From the very first application, FRONTLINE Plus kills up to 100% of existing fleas in less than 24 hours and continues to provide fast-acting, long-lasting flea and tick control.

Fipronil, the active ingredient in all FRONTLINE Brand Products, is stored under your pet's skin, in the oil glands, so FRONTLINE continuously reapplies to the skin and hair through the hair follicles making it waterproof.

In addition, not only does FRONTINE Plus kill up to 100% of adult fleas on your pet within 24 hours, it also contains a special ingredient that kills flea eggs and larvae to keep ALL stages of fleas from developing and bothering your pet and your family.

FRONTLINE will remain waterproof and won’t rinse off – even through your dog’s monthly bath or swim. In fact, FRONTLINE doesn't stop working for an entire month, giving your pet non-stop flea and tick control.

  • Kills up to 100% of existing fleas in less than 24 hours
  • Continues killing fleas for an entire month or more
  • Remains waterproof for 30 days, even if your dog swims or is bathed
  • Gentle enough for use on puppies 8 weeks of age or older
FRONTLINE starts killing fleas and ticks as soon as they come into contact with your dog. FRONTLINE Plus also keeps future fleas from biting by killing flea eggs and larvae before they mature.

With FRONTLINE Plus, you get control of both fleas and ticks in one, easy application. And, FRONTLINE Plus is gentle and safe enough for use on puppies as well as pregnant and nursing mothers.

FRONTLINE Plus completely breaks the flea life cycle by effectively stopping the development of new fleas. And, FRONTLINE Plus kills all stages of 4 major ticks, including the one that may carry Lyme disease.

Simply squeeze FRONTLINE Plus between your pet's shoulders and the active ingredient, fipronil, dissolves into the natural oils of the skin and coat. From there, it quickly spreads over your pet's entire body to provide long-lasting, waterproof flea and tick control that keeps working for an entire month.

FRONTLINE Plus provides long-lasting, effective control of fleas and ticks on your cat and dog as well as in your home.

This product does not work as well on my pets anymore. I am not sure if they changed the formula or my pets are immune to it, I have had fleas on my dogs and the company is not good at refunding your purchase.

Author: Tiff
It can be helpful to rotate the products that you use as the parasites do eventually become immune to any flea control that you choose to use. Nevertheless, this is the one that I use most often.

Frontline plus is not working at all for my standard poodle here in Houston , Texas.

I've been having the same problem with my dogs. Frontline Plus is not working. I live on 2 acres and it is lushly landscaped. My dogs are indoor dogs and I'm battling fleas. Doing the dogs, the house, the yard. It is not cheap either. Thinking about switching to Advantage.

I\'ve been a loyal frontline spray/ frontline plus user for ten years or so and started noticing a drop-off in effectiveness last year. This year it is noticeably less effective. In fact I\'ve jumped ship and gone to advantage.

Frontline Plus has always worked very well - until this year. Fleas have already killed one of my cats through anemia from the many bites and the dogs are scratching. This is in central VA.

We have always used frontline pluss, and as with other users on here this year it is not working , we have appled for 4 months now and vaccumed and all the house treating a person should do, cleaned bedding etc. Can one product become ineffective over time? This seems to be the case here. Going to try Advantage or Revolution

frontline plus in not working in nacogdoches, texas either, what is the problem?

Author: Barbara
I too have a flea problem on my three dogs. I've used Frontline Plus for several years with very good results. Not this past month it seems it has not worked at all. I applied it three weeks ago and last night gave them baths and the fleas just jumped off them fast. I applied more Fronline Plus tonight and hope the results will be as they should be.
I am wondering if it's possible to contact the maker Merial about this.

Gave my 45lb 10month old boxer Frontline Plus 3 weeks ago today and today discovered adult fleas having a picnic on him! Very unhappy with this product. I keep a very clean home and my dog is mostly indoors. I am not giving this product a second chance and already bought & applied K9 Advantix after reading reviews and hearing from others it works better. We\'ll see...

I used to LOVE this product when I applied it to my Shar-pei, years ago...within 24 hours the fleas were gone. So, recently I applied it to my Bulldog...a week later, to my suprise....lots of fleas still relaxing on her. I'm frustrated! Looks like I'm with everyone else, trying a new product!!!

Frontline plus is not working on my 4 Newfoundland dogs. I am very disappointed as the fleas are still on and biting my dogs. Not to mention the cost of application for giant breeds. I even shaved their coats and applied Frontline plus. They still have the fleas!
I will not purchase again. Used to work. What happened???

I think that since they had the bad reviews on TV about they change the formula, it does not work. I am a Golden Retriever Breeder and have multible dogs, spent a fortune on Frontline, now I have fleas. And don't know what to do, as you can't add anymore chemicals to them.

Author: Bree
Same problem as everyone else, this use to work. Spent $61 on this useless product and 2 weeks later I am still picking out fleas. My lhasa is allergic to flea bits which eventually turn into hot spots and expensive vet visits.

same thing here in Florida. Worked great for years, now it is completely ineffective for the last 15 months. Worst part, I NEVER see a dead flea. NEVER.

Author: Francesca
Yes, this as well as advantage , does not work anymore! (I live in CA and have heard that the fleas are evolving.) I spent almost $200 trying to eliminate my siameses' sudden fleas. (I hadn't had fleas in 5 years b/c of regular fronline and advantage treatments.) There is also no way I know of of getting a refund for any of these products, and vets and pet stores have also suddenly added all these ifs to said item working, ifs that weren't there before. Advantage and frontline need to do something, I can't imagine people continually shilling out big bucks for items that no work as poorly as the cheap drug store crap from the nineties. I might as well put flea collars on my cats at this point. I shelled out some more $ for something new called Revolution which had damn well better work.

Atleast you guys can learn from my mistakes and not waste your money on this.

The last batch of Frontline we purchased is not working. We have applied it for the last 3 months on our dog and flea infestation has only gotten worse. Frontline worked in the past and our cats do not have fleas (they are on Frontline too). I think Frontline has some serious quality control problems.

Frontline is not working anymore. I just noticed it the last few months.

I have used Frontline products for 6 years now and they have always worked until the last few months. I tried the K9 Advantix and my small ShihTzu had a very bad allergic reaction to it so I am scared to try anything else even though Frontline no longer works. I have 2 ShihTzus and their skin is so red and itchy. Frontline is terrible now I wonder if they changed an ingredient for price reasons?

Author: JENNINE
Frontline just not working. My dog is itching and now my indoor cat has fleas. I purchased Frontline again from our Vet and it only works about 7-10 days and the cat is itching again. I don't know what to do!! Frustrated in Kansas

I've also been using Frontline products for many years and just spent a small fortune on montly applications. For the past two months my dog's flea problem has gotten worse, and he is rarely outside. I'm very un happy with this product!!!

Author: Tim
Same as so many posters, I have used frontline for at least 10 years, with great results until lately. Just a waste of money for me now, so I\'m trying advantage.

SWITCHED TO COMFORTIS. IT IS GREAT!!!!

I've another dissatisfied customer of Front Line Plus. In addition to the fact that it is no longer effective on my cat's flea problem, she is also allergic to the bite and is very poor health as a result. Everywhere she lays there is a puddle of flea dander. It's so disheartening. Between treating the house and the animal, and daily vacuuming we are all nuts. Also, the cat won't let us bath her-which would at least give her some relief. She is living on steroid shots for the skin condition. I feel like a terrible person when I don't at least try to put a flea prep on her, but they are so costly and if they don't work, I don't see the point. It's still winter here, too and I'm afraid to even think about the spring and summer.

Frontline isn't working for me either, tried it on two dogs a Chihuahua and Cockapoo mix that live in Miami, FL. After reading all these reviews I will switch too now.

Author: Irene
I took my 4 month old kitten to the vet in CA for vaccines and although he is an indoor cat with no flea infestation they applied Frontline just in case. Now there are numerous fleas and he is constantly scratching and even shedding :( I'm taking him back to the vet to see if something else would work.

Author: francky
omg same here !!! thought it was mange, but now know it's fleas. i always used frontline on my lab & jack russels, switched to advantage, back to frontline, no use. its so bad my one jack is biting a sore into his tail base & but :(

Author: khandi
Same here. I have a Shih-tzu and I applied Frontline to him 1 week ago. He is about to naw his tail off. I had no idea that the formula changed. Thanks for the info. This stuff is useless.

Author: mary pat
I had good results with Frontline Plus for many years - agree, something has changed - does not affect ticks at all - either does the K9 Advantix - what is there to use?

Author: Lynn
Used Frontline Plus for years. Never saw a tick. This year the dog has had at least 8 ticks a night! Most of the ticks are attached to him. This morning found a gray, bloated, swollen tick on his neck right where the Frontline was applied. Will not use again.

Author: Cimdy
Frontline is not working on my cat. I have been using it for 2 months now and am still seeing fleas on her. I pick 20-30 off of her a day!!!! Is there a better flea control product?

Author: Jean
Same story here, frontline plus worked great for several years, but this year, just not working. poodle has fleas, fleas, fleas. Can't use advantix, dog allergic, what now?
